Since the beginning of time, color discrimination has plagued our cultures while destructively scarring our self worth and value. Birthed from the children’s book, Mommy Why Is My Skin So Dark?, Dark Skin Not Allowed, embarks on an emotionally provoking journey through North America, Africa, West Indies and South Asia on a personal quest to uncover the deep rooted disdain for dark skin, through the eyes of its victims, protesters and advocates.

Colorism has accounted for the elimination of our cultural identity and heritage. This epidemic has left doubt on our self esteem causing a nation to bleach their skin by the means of injections, pills and creams at an alarming rate. Dark Skin Not Allowed is a journey to entice a nation to re-embrace their natural beauty while teaching them how to fall back in love with themselves. #ColorismNoMore
